Challenge

This project of three luxury villas presented a significant technical challenge due to the combination of two types of cladding with completely different characteristics and fixing requirements:

- 3 cm thick Travertine Marble
- Large format sintered ceramic from Laminam, only 8 mm thick

In addition to the contrast between colours and textures, the design required a completely irregular layout, which required an effective solution to standardise the dimensions of the cladding without losing the aesthetics of the project.

As in most of A-cero's projects, curves play a key role in the design. In this case, the villas' front overhangs featured curves that had to be clad both inside and out, which added an additional structural challenge.

A satisfactory solution

At CELO Façades, we apply our experience and innovative systems to solve each of the project's challenges:

- Travertine Marble: We use our system A-HPL60, which allows pieces of irregular widths to be fixed while maintaining the continuity of the horizontal joint, ensuring stability and aesthetics.
- Large format sintered ceramics: We use the system M-SOS, ideal for ceramic cladding with custom layouts.
- Curved overhangs: We adapt the system HPL60 in coordination with the structural engineer to achieve the fixing of the stones in each of the polygonal cantilevers, guaranteeing precision in the installation and perfect alignment.

Results

Thanks to the implementation of our fixing systems and the experience of our technical team in facades for villas:

- An impeccable finish was achieved that combines contrasting materials without compromising structural stability.
- The original architectural design was respected, including the complex curves of the cantilevers.
- The installation process was optimized, reducing times and ensuring the durability of the system.
